ANKARA, Wednesday, May 6, 2026 (WNP): Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye Hakan Fidan on Wednesday said Türkiye and Saudi Arabia co-chaired the Third Meeting of the Turkish-Saudi Coordination Council, reviewing bilateral cooperation across key strategic sectors.
“We co-chaired today in Ankara with my esteemed brother Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud the Third Meeting of the Turkish-Saudi Coordination Council,” Fidan said in a statement.

He said the meeting, attended by relevant ministries and institutions from both sides, reviewed progress of joint committees in areas including trade, energy, defence, education, culture, tourism, and transportation, while also discussing bilateral relations within an institutional framework.
The two sides also exchanged views on regional developments, with particular focus on the situation in Gaza.
Fidan said both countries signed an agreement on the mutual exemption of holders of diplomatic and special passports from visa requirements, describing it as a step forward in strengthening bilateral engagement.
“I wish it to be an occasion for good for our countries, and I thank my esteemed counterpart and his delegation for their visit,” he added.
The meeting reflects growing cooperation between Türkiye and Saudi Arabia across multiple sectors as both countries continue to expand their strategic partnership.
