MAKKAH, Friday, August 7, 2026 (WNP): Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Federal Ministers Khawaja Muhammad Asif and Attaullah Tarar, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Syed Tariq Fatemi, and members of the Pakistani delegation, performed Umrah in the holy city of Makkah on Friday.

Before performing Umrah, the Prime Minister and the delegation were blessed with the opportunity to undertake a special visit to the Holy Kaaba, where they offered prayers and expressed gratitude.

Following the completion of Umrah rituals, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, and the members of the delegation offered special prayers for Pakistan’s progress and prosperity, the peace, unity and well-being of the Muslim Ummah, and lasting peace, stability and harmony across the region and the world.

The spiritual visit forms part of the Prime Minister’s official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and reflects the deep religious, historical and brotherly bonds shared between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
