PM Shehbaz arrives in Riyadh to attend Future Investment Initiative Conference

RIYADH, Monday, October 27, 2025 (WNP): Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Monday  arrived in Riyadh to participate in the 9th edition of the Future Investment Initiative (FII) Conference, being held under the patronage of Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman.

The Prime Minister is visiting the Kingdom at the special invitation of the Saudi Crown Prince and is accompanied by a high-level delegation comprising Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, and Special Assistants Tariq Fatemi and Bilal bin Saqib.

Upon his arrival at King Khalid International Airport, the Prime Minister was warmly received by Deputy Governor of Riyadh Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz, Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki, and Pakistan’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Ahmed Farooq.

During his visit, Prime Minister Shehbaz will represent Pakistan at the high-profile Future Investment Initiative, a premier global platform aimed at exploring trends and opportunities shaping the world’s investment landscape.

On the sidelines of the conference, the Prime Minister is scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, during which both leaders will discuss ways to further strengthen economic, trade, investment, energy, and manpower cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

The meeting will also cover regional and global developments of mutual interest, reflecting the shared commitment of both nations to deepening their strategic partnership.

In addition to his engagement with the Saudi leadership, the Prime Minister will meet with world leaders, global investors, and heads of international organizations participating in the FII Conference to highlight Pakistan’s investment potential and economic reform agenda aimed at fostering sustainable growth.

The visit underscores Pakistan’s intent to bolster its partnership with Saudi Arabia — a long-standing ally and key investor — while positioning itself as an emerging destination for global investment and regional economic cooperation.
