ISLAMABAD, Tuesday, April 7, 2026 (WNP): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday held a telephone conversation with Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, reaffirming Pakistan’s steadfast support for the Kingdom amid evolving regional developments.
During the conversation, the prime minister assured the Saudi leadership that the people and government of Pakistan would always stand shoulder to shoulder with their Saudi brothers and sisters, recalling the Kingdom’s consistent support to Pakistan “through thick and thin.”
He lauded the wisdom and sagacity demonstrated by the Saudi leadership in exercising maximum restraint during the ongoing crisis and emphasized that Pakistan was actively working, in coordination with other countries, to advance peace efforts and de-escalation in the Middle East.
The prime minister also briefed the crown prince on the latest developments regarding Pakistan’s diplomatic initiatives aimed at reducing tensions and facilitating dialogue in the region.
He further conveyed his warm wishes and respectful regards to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
The interaction reflects close coordination between Islamabad and Riyadh as diplomatic efforts continue to gain momentum for restoring peace and stability in the region.
