The agreement, signed at Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh during Shehbaz Sharif’s state visit, underscores the two nations’ shared commitment to regional stability, enhanced defense cooperation, and collective deterrence.

“This agreement reflects the shared commitment of both nations to enhance their security and contribute to peace in the region and the world,” a joint statement said. “Any aggression against either country shall be considered an aggression against both.”
Building on nearly eight decades of close partnership, the pact reaffirms the historic bonds of brotherhood, Islamic solidarity, and shared strategic interests between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.
The signing ceremony followed an official round of talks attended by delegations from both sides. At the outset, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended warm greetings to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and expressed gratitude for the hospitality extended by the Saudi leadership. He conveyed Pakistan’s best wishes for the continued progress and prosperity of the Kingdom.
