Albert P. Khorev highlights longstanding Russia-Pakistan friendship, reaffirms commitment to strengthening bilateral partnership

ISLAMABAD, Friday, August 14, 2026 (WNP): Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Pakistan Albert P. Khorev on Friday extended warm and heartfelt greetings to the people of Pakistan on the occasion of the country’s Independence Day.

In a video message, the Russian ambassador said the national day was a testament to the courage, determination and strong spirit of the Pakistani people.

He said Pakistan had, over the decades, pursued its own path of development, guided by the ideals and aspirations of its founding fathers.

Highlighting the traditionally friendly and mutually respectful relations between Russia and Pakistan, Ambassador Khorev said the two countries shared a long history of cooperation and maintained close and constructive contacts in various areas.

He expressed confidence that Russia and Pakistan would continue working together to strengthen mutual understanding and expand their partnership for the benefit of the two nations.

“Today is a day of Pakistan national pride, joy, and celebration,” he said, wishing that peace, stability and well-being prevail throughout Pakistan.

Ambassador Khorev also wished the Pakistani people good health, success and prosperity, saying, “May God bless Pakistan and its hardworking people.”

Concluding his message, he said: “Pakistan Zindabad. Rus-Pak Dosti Paindabad.”
