Upon his arrival at the Grand Mosque, Prince Saud washed the interior of the Holy Kaaba using Zamzam water blended with rose water and the finest oud fragrance.

He also wiped the inner walls of the Kaaba with cloths soaked in the specially prepared mixture provided by the General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque.

The annual ceremony was attended by a number of senior Saudi officials, members of the Islamic diplomatic corps accredited to the Kingdom, and the caretakers of the Holy Kaaba, who joined Prince Saud in performing the revered ritual.

The washing of the Holy Kaaba is one of the Kingdom’s most distinguished religious traditions, carried out on behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques as a symbol of reverence and care for Islam’s holiest sanctuary.
