UK minister appreciates Pakistan’s role in facilitating US-Iran agreement

ISLAMABAD, Monday, June 15, 2026 (WNP): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Monday received Hamish Falconer, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State at the United Kingdom’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), for discussions on bilateral relations and regional developments.

During the meeting, Hamish Falconer conveyed the United Kingdom’s deep appreciation for Pakistan’s constructive diplomatic role in facilitating the understanding reached between the United States and Iran, recognizing Islamabad’s efforts in promoting dialogue and reducing regional tensions.

The two sides reviewed the current state of Pakistan-UK relations and expressed satisfaction over the positive trajectory of bilateral cooperation across various sectors.

They also exchanged views on regional and international developments, including ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at fostering peace, stability and cooperation in the broader region.
