TİKA, UNDP discuss expanding development partnership in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD, Tuesday, February 17, 2026 (WNP): The Country Coordinator of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) visited the office of United Nations Development Programme Pakistan for discussions aimed at strengthening bilateral development cooperation.

During the visit, the TİKA delegation met with Samuel Rizk and his team for detailed talks on expanding collaboration to maximize development impact across Pakistan. The discussions focused on identifying strategic areas where both organizations can align their expertise and resources to support sustainable growth and community resilience.

The officials explored potential avenues for joint initiatives in key sectors, including capacity-building, climate resilience, livelihoods support and inclusive development.

Both sides emphasized the importance of coordinated efforts to ensure efficient delivery of development assistance and measurable outcomes.

TİKA has been actively implementing projects in Pakistan in areas such as education, healthcare, vocational training and humanitarian support, while UNDP continues to work closely with federal and provincial authorities to advance sustainable development goals.

Participants expressed optimism that enhanced cooperation between TİKA and UNDP would contribute to broader development objectives in Pakistan, reinforcing institutional partnerships and delivering long-term benefits to local communities.
