Saudi Aramco helicopter crash kills 14 Saudi nationals in Ras Tanura

RIYADH, Sunday, June 28, 2026 (WNP): Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Energy on Sunday announced that a helicopter operated by Saudi Aramco crashed in Ras Tanura, Eastern Province, resulting in the deaths of all 14 Saudi nationals on board.

According to the ministry, the accident occurred at approximately 6:00 a.m. local time. All passengers aboard the helicopter lost their lives in the crash.

The ministry said the relevant authorities have launched a comprehensive investigation to determine the cause of the accident.

In a statement, the Ministry of Energy expressed profound sorrow over the tragedy and extended its deepest condolences to the families of the victims.

“The Ministry of Energy extends its deepest condolences and sincere sympathies to the families of the martyrs, praying that Almighty Allah grants them mercy and forgiveness and accepts them as martyrs,” the statement said.

No further details regarding the circumstances of the crash were immediately released, and authorities said additional information would be made public as the investigation progresses.
