Ambassador Albert P. Khorev meets MNA Sehar Kamran; sides exchange views on global and regional developments, economic issues and opportunities to expand bilateral relations
ISLAMABAD, Thursday, September 17, 2026 (WNP): Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Pakistan Albert P. Khorev met with Member of the National Assembly of Pakistan and member of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with the Russian Federation Sehar Kamran on Thursday, with discussions focusing on bilateral relations and opportunities to further strengthen cooperation between the two countries.
According to the Embassy of Russia in Pakistan, the two sides exchanged views on the global and regional political and economic situation and discussed prospects for further developing Russia-Pakistan relations.
Ambassador Khorev welcomed Sehar Kamran’s constructive approach towards strengthening inter-parliamentary ties between Pakistan and Russia, according to the Embassy.
The meeting also highlighted the role of parliamentary engagement in promoting dialogue and expanding cooperation between the two countries.
Sehar Kamran expressed interest in participating in major multilateral events held in Russia, reflecting opportunities for continued engagement and people-to-people and institutional contacts.
The meeting underscored the importance of sustained parliamentary and diplomatic engagement in further developing bilateral relations between Pakistan and Russia across political, economic and other areas of mutual interest.
