Saudi envoy hosts reception in honour of Palestinian religious leaders in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD, Tuesday, May 5, 2026 (WNP): Ambassador of the Saudi Arabia to Pakistan Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki hosted a dinner reception at his residence in honour of senior Palestinian religious leaders participating in the Sixth International Paigham-e-Islam Conference in the federal capital.

The reception was attended by Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Sardar Muhammad Yousaf along with ambassadors of Islamic countries, prominent scholars, Ulema, and religious leaders from Pakistan and abroad.

The guests of honour included Advisor to the Palestinian President on Religious Affairs and Islamic Relations and Supreme Judge of Palestine Dr. Mahmoud Al-Habbash and Grand Mufti of Jerusalem and the Palestinian Territories Sheikh Muhammad Ahmad Hussein.

The gathering was held on the sidelines of the Sixth International Paigham-e-Islam Conference, which brought together religious scholars, diplomats, and international delegates to discuss issues relating to peace, unity, interfaith harmony, and challenges facing the Muslim Ummah.

Participants exchanged views on promoting Islamic unity, strengthening cooperation among Muslim countries, and supporting the Palestinian cause.

The reception also reflected the close diplomatic and religious ties among Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Palestine, as well as their shared commitment to promoting peace, moderation, and harmony within the Muslim world.
