Pakistan, UAE DPMs discuss evolving regional situation, agree on close coordination

ISLAMABAD, Saturday, February 28, 2026 (WNP): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation on Saturday with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to exchange views on the evolving regional situation.

During the call, Senator Dar and Sheikh Abdullah reviewed recent developments in the region and expressed serious concern over the emerging security and political dynamics.

Both leaders underscored the importance of sustained diplomatic engagement and constructive dialogue to address shared challenges and promote regional stability.

The two foreign ministers reaffirmed the longstanding and brotherly ties between Pakistan and the UAE, emphasizing their commitment to continued cooperation across political, economic, and strategic domains. They agreed to remain in close contact and maintain regular consultations in view of the fast-changing regional landscape.
