Pakistan, Saudi Arabia review progress of King Salman Hospital Project

ISLAMABAD, Monday, May 4, 2026 (WNP): Federal Minister for Health Services, Regulations and Coordination Syed Mustafa Kamal held a meeting with Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Pakistan Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki at the Saudi Embassy on Monday to review progress on the King Salman Hospital project and reaffirm bilateral cooperation in the health sector.

The meeting focused on the implementation of the landmark project and underscored the deep-rooted fraternal ties and strategic partnership between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

During the meeting, the minister expressed gratitude to the Saudi government for its continued support to Pakistan’s health sector, noting that the King Salman Hospital would serve as a symbol of the enduring brotherly relations between the two countries and reflect Saudi Arabia’s commitment to the welfare of the Pakistani people.

Kamal assured the ambassador that the project was being given top priority by the government, adding that he was personally overseeing its progress to ensure timely completion in line with agreed standards.

He further said that the prime minister was regularly monitoring developments related to the project, highlighting its importance at the highest level of government.

Ambassador Al-Malki reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s continued support for Pakistan’s development efforts and expressed confidence in the timely completion of the hospital. He also conveyed greetings from the Saudi leadership and reiterated the Kingdom’s commitment to the welfare and prosperity of Pakistan.

The meeting concluded in a cordial atmosphere, reflecting the longstanding and brotherly relations between the two countries.
