ISLAMABAD, Wednesday, February 11, 2026 (WNP): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Wednesday held a telephone conversation with Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, during which the two leaders exchanged views on the evolving regional situation and emphasized the primacy of dialogue and diplomacy in addressing shared challenges.
According to official sources, the foreign ministers reviewed key regional developments and discussed issues of mutual concern, underscoring the need for restraint, constructive engagement, and peaceful means to resolve disputes in an increasingly complex regional environment.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining close coordination and sustained diplomatic engagement at bilateral and regional levels, with a view to promoting peace, stability, and cooperation.
The conversation reflected the continued importance Pakistan and Iran attach to regular high-level contacts and consultations, particularly in the context of regional security dynamics and the shared objective of fostering stability through dialogue and mutual understanding.
