LARKANA, Sunday, December 28, 2025 (WNP): Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Sunday visited the Sindh Institute of Child Health and Neonatology (SICHN) in Larkana, where he reviewed critical care facilities for children and newborns and assessed the quality of free medical services being provided to patients.

During the visit, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari toured neonatal and pediatric intensive care units, inspecting advanced diagnostic, treatment and emergency care sections of the hospital.

He was briefed by the hospital administration on the scope of services, patient care protocols, and the institute’s capacity to handle complex and life-threatening conditions affecting infants and children.

The PPP chairman examined various wards and specialized units, taking stock of the modern medical equipment and facilities aimed at ensuring timely and high-quality treatment. He expressed appreciation for the availability of comprehensive, state-of-the-art healthcare services being offered entirely free of cost, particularly for underprivileged families.

Hospital officials informed him about ongoing efforts to strengthen pediatric and neonatal healthcare, including expanded critical care coverage, improved diagnostic capabilities and trained medical staff dedicated to reducing child and infant mortality in the region.

The visit underscored the importance of accessible and specialized healthcare for children and newborns, especially in interior Sindh, where SICHN has emerged as a key public health institution providing life-saving treatment to thousands of patients each year.
