Iranian Envoy lauds Pakistan’s role in promoting regional peace, concludes diplomatic visit

ISLAMABAD, Sunday, April 26, 2026 (WNP): Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan, Reza Amiri Moghadam, has expressed profound gratitude to the government, armed forces and people of Pakistan for their efforts in facilitating regional peace and ensuring the successful completion of a high-level Iranian diplomatic visit.

In a statement shared on his official X account, the ambassador said the recent visit of Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi to Pakistan, undertaken at the outset of a broader regional tour, was aimed at reviewing bilateral relations and holding consultations on evolving regional developments.

He conveyed sincere appreciation to Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff Syed Asim Munir for their tireless efforts and constructive role in promoting peace and stability in the region.

The ambassador noted that, similar to previous engagements, the visit was conducted in an atmosphere of complete security, safety and tranquility, attributing this to Pakistan’s effective planning, coordination and implementation.

He further extended his thanks to the Pakistan Army, security forces, police and personnel of all relevant institutions for their professionalism and dedication. Special acknowledgment was also given to the people of Pakistan, particularly residents of Islamabad, for their hospitality, patience and cooperation throughout the visit.

Reaffirming the strength of bilateral ties, the ambassador concluded with a message of goodwill, emphasizing enduring friendship between the two neighboring countries.
