ISLAMABAD, Tuesday, April 21, 2026 (WNP): The Embassy of Iran in Pakistan has paid tribute to poet-philosopher Allama Muhammad Iqbal on his death anniversary, acknowledging his intellectual and spiritual legacy.
In a statement, the Iran Embassy described Allama Iqbal as a “great intellectual and spiritual figure,” noting that his ideas continue to transcend borders and remain relevant in addressing contemporary global challenges.
The statement highlighted Iqbal’s enduring message of self-realization, unity, dignity, and intellectual awakening, saying these principles continue to inspire generations across the Muslim world and beyond.
Allama Allama Muhammad Iqbal is widely regarded as a key philosophical influence behind the concept of self-empowerment and cultural revival in the Muslim world, with his poetry and thought shaping intellectual discourse across South Asia.
The Embassy emphasized that Iqbal’s legacy remains a shared cultural and intellectual bridge, reflecting longstanding historical and people-to-people ties between Pakistan and Iran.
