ISLAMABAD, Tuesday, April 21, 2026 (WNP): A diplomatic source in Islamabad has dismissed speculation regarding the presence of any Iranian advance delegation in the Pakistani capital, saying that no such team has arrived for talks.

Responding to reports suggesting that a sub-delegation from Iran was present in Islamabad, the source told Iran’s state news agency IRNA that no official or unofficial information had been received confirming any Iranian presence related to ongoing or anticipated discussions.

The source clarified that no advance team from Iran had travelled to Pakistan, adding that security considerations remain a key priority in any movement or dispatch of diplomatic delegations.

Describing the circulating claims as inaccurate, the informed source said the current speculations do not reflect the situation on the ground.
