Dar, Polish FM review ties, discuss regional issues; Poland lauds Pakistan’s peace efforts

ISLAMABAD, Sunday, April 19, 2026 (WNP): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar received a telephone call from Poland’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski on Sunday, during which the two leaders reviewed bilateral relations and discussed regional and global developments.

During the conversation, both sides appreciated the positive momentum in Pakistan–Poland relations and reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

The two foreign ministers also held an in-depth exchange of views on the evolving regional and international situation, underscoring the importance of dialogue and diplomacy in addressing global challenges.

Sikorski commended Pakistan’s efforts in facilitating a ceasefire between Iran and the United States, and appreciated Islamabad’s continued commitment to promoting peace and stability through constructive engagement.

He also extended an invitation to Dar to visit Poland in June 2026, reflecting growing diplomatic engagement between the two countries.

The interaction highlights the strengthening partnership between Pakistan and Poland, with both sides expressing resolve to expand cooperation and maintain close coordination on regional and global issues.
