ISLAMABAD, Wednesday, February 4, 2026 (WNP): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Wednesday called on the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, who is on a two-day official visit to Pakistan, underscoring the growing momentum in Pakistan–Kazakhstan relations.
During the meeting, Senator Ishaq Dar warmly welcomed President Tokayev to Pakistan and conveyed cordial greetings on behalf of the President, Prime Minister, Government, and people of Pakistan. He highlighted the importance Pakistan attaches to its friendly relations with Kazakhstan and expressed satisfaction over the steady increase in high-level political exchanges between the two countries.

The Deputy Prime Minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s strong commitment to further expanding bilateral cooperation across a broad spectrum, including political engagement, economic collaboration, trade, connectivity, and people-to-people contacts.
He emphasized that both countries share a common vision for promoting durable peace, regional stability, and sustainable development through dialogue and mutual cooperation.
The meeting reflected the convergence of views between Islamabad and Astana on strengthening regional partnerships and enhancing cooperation for shared prosperity. Both sides acknowledged the positive trajectory of bilateral relations and reiterated their resolve to work closely to realize the full potential of Pakistan–Kazakhstan ties.
President Tokayev’s visit is seen as an important step in deepening engagement between the two countries and reinforcing their commitment to closer diplomatic, economic, and regional cooperation.
