DAVOS, Thursday, January 22, 2026 (WNP): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar on Thursday held a sideline meeting with Thailand’s Foreign Minister, Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, on the margins of the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting 2026 in Davos.
During the meeting, the two foreign ministers reviewed the state of Pakistan–Thailand bilateral relations and reaffirmed their shared commitment to expanding cooperation across a wide range of areas, including economic engagement, trade, investment, and agriculture.
Both sides underscored the importance of enhancing people-to-people contacts and institutional linkages to further strengthen bilateral ties.
The ministers also exchanged views on key regional and international developments of mutual interest, highlighting the value of continued diplomatic coordination and dialogue in a rapidly evolving global environment.
On the occasion, both leaders congratulated each other on the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Thailand, reaffirming their resolve to build on decades of friendship and cooperation and to further deepen bilateral engagement in the years ahead.
