DAVOS, Thursday, January 22, 2026 (WNP): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar on Thursday said that Pakistan successfully concluded a series of high-level official engagements at the World Economic Forum (WEF) 2026, marking a productive end to the country’s participation in the annual global gathering.
Following the completion of meetings and interactions, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and the Deputy Prime Minister shared informal and light moments ahead of their departure from Davos for the return journey.
The moment reflected the cordial atmosphere and strong personal rapport among the leaders after days of intensive diplomatic, economic and strategic discussions on the sidelines of the forum.
Pakistan’s delegation held extensive engagements during WEF 2026 with world leaders, policymakers, international financial institutions and global business executives, highlighting the country’s reform agenda, economic recovery, investment opportunities and commitment to regional and global stability.
The conclusion of the Davos visit underscored Pakistan’s proactive diplomatic outreach and strengthened coordination with key international partners, including Türkiye, as Islamabad continues to position itself as a constructive and reliable stakeholder on the global stage.
