DAVOS, Thursday, January 22, 2026 (WNP): Pakistan concluded a successful and high-impact participation at the World Economic Forum (WEF) 2026 in Davos, with senior leadership expressing appreciation for the pivotal role played by Pakistan’s diplomatic and institutional teams in Switzerland.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar on Thursday commended Team Pakistan in Switzerland for their outstanding coordination, professionalism and support during the official visit of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and the accompanying high-level Pakistani delegation.
In a statement, the Deputy Prime Minister acknowledged that the collective efforts of Pakistan’s missions and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) were instrumental in ensuring the smooth conduct of bilateral engagements, multilateral meetings and strategic interactions on the sidelines of WEF 2026.

He noted that the dedication and efficiency of the diplomatic teams significantly contributed to projecting Pakistan’s economic priorities, foreign policy objectives and reform agenda to the international community, while also helping strengthen ties with key global partners.
Pakistan’s participation at WEF 2026 featured extensive engagement with world leaders, international financial institutions, global investors and corporate executives, underscoring Islamabad’s renewed focus on economic stability, investment-led growth and constructive international cooperation.
The successful visit reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to proactive diplomacy and effective international engagement, supported by a coordinated and professional foreign service playing a central role in advancing national interests on the global stage.
