Turkish Ambassador leads Education Türkiye Fair in Islamabad, underscores growing academic links with Pakistan

ISLAMABAD, Saturday, June 13, 2026 (WNP): Ambassador of Türkiye to Pakistan, İrfan Neziroğlu, attended the Education Türkiye Fair in Islamabad, marking the final leg of a series of higher education promotion events held across Pakistan following successful fairs in Karachi and Lahore.

The event brought together leading Turkish universities and prospective Pakistani students, providing a platform to explore academic opportunities, scholarship programs, and higher education pathways in Türkiye.

Ambassador Neziroğlu expressed appreciation to all participating universities for their valuable contribution to promoting Turkish higher education in Pakistan and strengthening educational cooperation between the two countries.

“We would like to thank all our universities that participated in the fair and made valuable contributions to promoting Turkish higher education in Pakistan,” the ambassador said.

The Education Türkiye Fair showcased a wide range of undergraduate, graduate and research opportunities available at Turkish institutions, reflecting the growing educational partnership between Türkiye and Pakistan.

Educational cooperation has emerged as an important pillar of the longstanding brotherly relations between the two countries, with thousands of Pakistani students pursuing studies in Türkiye through government scholarships and academic exchange programs.

The fair also served as a platform for enhancing people-to-people contacts and fostering greater academic collaboration between educational institutions in both countries.
