ISLAMABAD, Wednesday, May 6, 2026 (WNP): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Wednesday reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to regional peace, stability, and dialogue, while declaring that Saudi Arabia remains a “no-go area” for any hostile designs or aggression.
Addressing the second session of the Ulema Council Conference in the federal capital, Dar said Pakistan had clearly conveyed to all sides amid the ongoing conflict that Saudi Arabia’s security and sovereignty were of paramount importance for Islamabad.

“In the current war, we clearly told all parties that Saudi Arabia is a no-go area for us. No one can cast an evil eye on Saudi Arabia. Even at present, a Pakistan Air Force squadron is stationed in Saudi Arabia,” he stated.
Welcoming the participation of distinguished international and national Ulema and scholars, Dar said the conference was both timely and significant in addressing challenges confronting the Muslim world.
He highlighted Pakistan’s sustained diplomatic engagement aimed at de-escalation and promotion of dialogue in the region and beyond, reiterating the country’s commitment to peaceful coexistence and regional stability.

The deputy prime minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s principled stance on Jammu and Kashmir and Palestine, emphasizing the need for Muslim unity and collective efforts for the welfare of the Ummah. He also underscored the central role of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in addressing issues facing the Muslim world.
Dar said Pakistan has remained at the forefront of global efforts to combat Islamophobia and promote interfaith harmony, reflecting its commitment to peaceful coexistence and mutual respect among different communities.
Paying tribute to the nation’s resilience, he referred to the anniversary of “Marka-e-Haq,” highlighting the spirit of unity, determination, and national resolve demonstrated by the country.
He emphasized that under the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, peace, progress, and prosperity remain central to Pakistan’s national vision.
