ISLAMABAD, Sunday, March 29, 2026 (WNP): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar held bilateral talks with Hakan Fidan at the Foreign Office, reaffirming the strong and historic ties between Pakistan and Türkiye.
The meeting took place as part of a broader diplomatic engagement, with the Turkish foreign minister visiting Islamabad alongside counterparts from Saudi Arabia and Egypt for consultations on the evolving regional situation and efforts aimed at de-escalation.

During the talks, both leaders underscored the deep-rooted fraternal relations between Pakistan and Türkiye, built on shared history, culture and mutual respect.
They expressed satisfaction over the positive trajectory of bilateral ties and reaffirmed their commitment to expanding cooperation across all sectors of mutual interest.
The discussions provided an opportunity to review the full spectrum of bilateral relations and explore avenues to further strengthen the longstanding strategic partnership between the two countries.
Exchanging views on recent regional developments, including the situation in Iran, the two ministers emphasized the importance of dialogue and sustained diplomatic engagement to promote peace and stability.
Both sides also reiterated their unwavering support for each other’s core national interests and agreed to maintain close coordination on regional and international issues.
