Iran envoy meets Ishaq Dar, thanks Pakistan for support; FM urges dialogue for regional peace

ISLAMABAD, Tuesday, March 17, 2026 (WNP): Ambassador of Iran to Pakistan Reza Amiri Moghaddam on Tuesday called on Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar to discuss the evolving regional situation and bilateral ties.

During the meeting, the Iranian envoy expressed gratitude for the strong moral support extended by the people of Pakistan amid the ongoing challenges faced by his country.

The Deputy Prime Minister conveyed his condolences over the loss of precious lives in the conflict and expressed hope for an early resolution. He underscored that dialogue and diplomacy remain the only viable path to resolving issues and achieving lasting peace and stability in the region.

Both sides reaffirmed the importance of continued engagement and cooperation to promote regional peace and mutual understanding.
