PESHAWAR, Thursday, March 5,2025 (WNP): Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sohail Afridi visited the Consulate of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Peshawar to offer condolences on the demise of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
During the visit, the chief minister met with the Iranian Consul General Ali Banafsheh Khah and conveyed his heartfelt sympathies to the government and people of Iran.
Expressing profound sorrow over the passing of the Iranian leader, Afridi said the demise of Ayatollah Khamenei was not only a great loss for Iran but also an irreparable loss for the entire Muslim Ummah.
He paid tribute to the late leader’s services to the Muslim world and his role in promoting unity among Muslims.
The chief minister also prayed for the elevation of the departed leader’s ranks and extended solidarity with the Iranian nation during this moment of grief.
Officials at the consulate thanked the chief minister for his visit and for expressing support and sympathy with the people of Iran following the passing of their Supreme Leader.
