ANKARA, Saturday, February 21, 2026 (WNP): Minister of State for Interior Muhammad Talal Chaudhry visited Türkiye with an official delegation to advance bilateral cooperation on internal security and public safety.
During his visit to Ankara, Chaudhry met with Münir Karaloğlu, Deputy Minister of Interior of Türkiye, followed by delegation-level talks between the two sides.
According to officials, the discussions focused on strengthening cooperation in combating organized crime, improving migration management frameworks and enhancing coordination in disaster preparedness and response.
Both countries emphasized the need for closer institutional collaboration, information-sharing and capacity-building to address transnational security challenges.
The two sides reviewed existing cooperation mechanisms and explored avenues for expanding joint efforts, particularly in areas where shared expertise and coordinated strategies could yield tangible results. Disaster response cooperation was highlighted as a key priority, given both countries’ experience in managing natural calamities and humanitarian emergencies.
The officials described the visit as a step toward reinforcing long-standing ties between Pakistan and Türkiye, underscoring a shared commitment to deepening collaboration in security and governance sectors.
Pakistan and Türkiye maintain close diplomatic and strategic relations, with growing emphasis on practical cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including internal security, law enforcement and crisis management.
