‘Uzbekistan-Pakistan: Melodies of Friendship and Brotherhood’ celebrates enduring bilateral ties as Uzbek artists showcase their rich cultural heritage and an Uzbek rendition of Pakistan’s iconic patriotic song sparks spontaneous celebrations

ISLAMABAD, Saturday, August 29, 2026 (WNP): The Concert Hall of the Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) resonated with music, national pride and the warmth of friendship on Saturday evening as distinguished Uzbek artists presented a vibrant cultural concert celebrating the enduring bonds between Uzbekistan and Pakistan.

Organised by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Pakistan as part of the Uzbekistan Tourism Days in Pakistan, the concert, titled “Uzbekistan-Pakistan: Melodies of Friendship and Brotherhood,” brought together senior government officials, ambassadors, diplomats, cultural personalities and guests from different walks of life.

The evening’s most memorable moment came when an Uzbek singer delivered a spirited rendition of Pakistan’s much-loved patriotic song “Dil Dil Pakistan, Jan Jan Pakistan.”

The performance transformed the formal diplomatic gathering into a spontaneous celebration, with members of the diplomatic community and other guests applauding, singing along and taking to the floor in an expression of genuine affection for Pakistan.

The event was attended by Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Pakistan Alisher Tukhtaev, who hosted the cultural evening, Federal Minister for National Heritage and Culture Aurangzeb Khan Khichi, and Spokesperson to the President of Pakistan Murtaza Solangi.

The diplomatic community was represented by Russian Ambassador to Pakistan Albert Khorev, Ambassador of Japan to Pakistan Akamatsu Shuichi, and Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Pakistan Atadjan Movlamov, besides diplomats, government representatives, cultural figures and other distinguished guests.

Their participation underscored the wider international dimension of the event and the important role of cultural exchanges in fostering mutual understanding and strengthening relations among nations.
