US Vice President J.D. Vance arrives in Islamabad for talks with high-level delegation

ISLAMABAD, Saturday, April 11, 2026 (WNP): A high-powered delegation from the United States, led by Vice President J. D. Vance, arrived in Islamabad on Saturday to participate in the Islamabad Talks aimed at advancing regional peace and stability.

The delegation also includes Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and senior official Jared Kushner.

Upon arrival, the US delegation was received by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, and Minister for Interior Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi.

Welcoming the US Vice President, Ishaq Dar commended Washington’s commitment to promoting lasting regional and global peace and stability. He expressed hope that all parties involved in the dialogue would engage constructively.

Reiterating Pakistan’s facilitative role, the deputy prime minister underscored Islamabad’s desire to continue supporting efforts aimed at reaching a lasting and durable resolution to the conflict.

The arrival of the US delegation marks a significant development in the ongoing diplomatic engagements hosted by Pakistan, bringing together key international stakeholders to advance dialogue and de-escalation in the region.
