WASHINGTON, Tuesday, December 23, 2025 (WNP): President Donald J. Trump on Tuesday described America’s battleships as enduring symbols of national strength, asserting that they play a central role in maintaining U.S. military supremacy while revitalising the country’s shipbuilding industry.

In a statement underscoring his administration’s defence and industrial priorities, President Trump said U.S. battleships represent “unmistakable symbols of national power” and would help ensure American dominance on the world stage.

He emphasized that a strong naval force not only enhances national security but also supports domestic manufacturing, noting that renewed focus on shipbuilding would generate jobs and restore industrial capacity across the United States.

President Trump also said a robust and visible military presence serves as a deterrent, projecting strength abroad and “inspiring fear in America’s enemies all over the world.”

The remarks reflect the administration’s continued emphasis on military modernization, strategic deterrence and strengthening domestic defence industries as part of a broader national security and economic agenda.
