Ambassador Albert P. Khorev meets IMCB I-8/3 principal, students who attended summer programme in Ivanovo; participants express interest in expanding youth cooperation

ISLAMABAD, Thursday, September 10, 2026 (WNP): Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Pakistan Albert P. Khorev met with Shahid M. Abbasi, Principal of Islamabad Model College for Boys (IMCB I-8/3), representatives of the college administration and students who participated this summer in an educational programme at the Stasova International Education Centre “Interdom” in Ivanovo, Russia.

During the meeting, the students shared their experiences and expressed gratitude to the Russian Ministry of Education and the Embassy of Russia in Pakistan for providing them with the opportunity to learn more about Russian history and culture and further develop their Russian language skills.

The meeting highlighted the importance of educational and humanitarian exchanges in strengthening Russia-Pakistan relations, while participants expressed interest in expanding cooperation further, particularly in the area of youth exchanges.

Ambassador Khorev wished the students success in their academic pursuits and the fulfilment of their aspirations to pursue higher education at Russian universities.

As a memento of the meeting, Ambassador Khorev presented the college with footballs featuring the emblem of the Embassy of Russia in Pakistan.

The interaction underscored the role of educational programmes and youth exchanges in promoting people-to-people contacts, cultural understanding and stronger humanitarian ties between Pakistan and Russia.
