ISLAMABAD, Tuesday, July 1, 2025 (WNP): Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday extended heartfelt condolences to the people and Government of Iran, reaffirming Pakistan’s unwavering solidarity and sympathy with its neighboring country during a time of grief and crisis.

The prime minister visited the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Islamabad to sign the condolence book, which had been opened to honour the victims and injured following the recent Israeli aggression against Iran.

Accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Fatemi, and the Foreign Secretary, the prime minister was received by Iranian Ambassador Reza Amiri Moghaddam and senior embassy officials.

During the visit, Prime Minister Shehbaz paid rich tribute to the resilience and courage of the Iranian people, offering prayers for the martyrs and wishing a speedy recovery for the injured.

He also conveyed deep respect and good wishes for Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatullah Ali Khamenei and President Dr. Massoud Pezeshkian, while assuring the Iranian side of Pakistan’s consistent support and commitment to standing by Iran in times of adversity.

The gesture reflects Islamabad’s broader message of regional solidarity, particularly in the face of rising tensions in the Middle East, and underscores Pakistan’s emphasis on peace, diplomacy, and mutual respect among nations.
