RIYADH, Thursday, July 2, 2026 (WNP): The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the Saudi Arabian Cricket Federation (SACF) have signed a historic strategic agreement to build a state-of-the-art international cricket stadium in Jeddah.
In a major boost to the development of cricket in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the agreement was finalized during a meeting between PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi and Chairman of the Saudi Arabian Cricket Federation Prince Saud bin Mishal Al Saud in Riyadh.

Under the landmark partnership—the first of its kind between the two cricketing bodies—the PCB will provide technical support for the development of a modern cricket stadium in Jeddah, designed in accordance with international standards and equipped with world-class facilities that meet the requirements of the International Cricket Council (ICC).
The agreement envisages close collaboration between the PCB and the Saudi Arabian Cricket Federation in key areas including infrastructure development, technical expertise, stadium planning, operational standards and capacity building to establish a premier cricket venue capable of hosting international matches and major global cricketing events.
The project is expected to play a pivotal role in positioning Saudi Arabia as a future destination for international cricket while strengthening the Kingdom’s growing sports infrastructure.
The initiative also aligns with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, supporting increased investment in sports, the promotion of sports tourism, greater public participation in sporting activities and improvements in quality of life through the development of world-class sports facilities.
Speaking on the occasion, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi described the agreement as a milestone for the promotion of cricket in Saudi Arabia.

“This agreement marks a significant step forward in the growth of cricket in the Kingdom. Together, we are building a strategic partnership that will strengthen the game and create new opportunities for cricket’s development across the region,” he said.
The agreement reflects the growing sports cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia and underscores their shared commitment to expanding cricket’s global footprint through strategic partnerships and investment in modern sporting infrastructure.
