ISLAMABAD, Tuesday, April 21, 2026 (WNP): US Chargé d’Affaires Natalie A. Baker called on Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Tuesday, with discussions focusing on recent regional developments.
During the meeting, Dar underscored Pakistan’s consistent emphasis on dialogue and diplomacy as the only viable means to address challenges and achieve lasting peace and stability in the region.

He stressed the need for sustained engagement between the United States and Iran, urging both sides to consider extending the ceasefire and to give diplomacy a meaningful opportunity.
The US envoy conveyed Washington’s appreciation for Pakistan’s constructive and positive role in promoting regional peace and facilitating dialogue.

The meeting reflects ongoing diplomatic engagement between Islamabad and Washington amid evolving regional dynamics and efforts to de-escalate tensions.
