Pakistan Navy successfully test-fires indigenously developed anti-ship missile

RAWALPINDI, Thursday, April 16, 2026 (WNP): Pakistan Navy on Thursday conducted a successful live weapon firing of an indigenously developed ship-launched anti-ship missile, demonstrating its operational readiness and precision-strike capability.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the missile accurately engaged its target at extended range with high speed, reflecting the Navy’s growing indigenous technological prowess.

Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Naveed Ashraf, along with leading scientists and engineers, witnessed the missile firing exercise.

The missile incorporates a cutting-edge guidance system and advanced maneuverability, enabling it to evade threats, adapt to dynamic operational conditions, and strike targets with precision and effectiveness.

The successful launch underscores the synergy between technological innovation and operational expertise within Pakistan Navy. It also reaffirms the Navy’s commitment to maintaining a credible sea-based deterrence in the conventional domain while ensuring maritime security and regional stability.
