Pakistan, Myanmar stress peaceful dialogue in high-level diplomatic call

ISLAMABAD, Tuesday, January 13, 2026 (WNP): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, on Tuesday held a telephone conversation with the Union Minister for Foreign Affairs of Myanmar, U Than Swe, reaffirming their shared commitment to resolving regional challenges through peaceful dialogue and diplomacy.

During the conversation, the two foreign ministers exchanged views on matters of mutual interest and emphasized the importance of sustained engagement to promote regional stability and cooperation.

Both sides underscored that dialogue and constructive diplomacy remain essential tools for addressing complex regional and international issues.

The leaders agreed to remain in close contact and to continue consultations aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and contributing to peace and stability in the region.

The exchange reflects the continued momentum in Pakistan–Myanmar relations and their mutual resolve to pursue collaborative approaches to shared regional and global concerns.
