ISLAMABAD, Thursday, January 15, 2026 (WNP): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Thursday met Ms. Sun Haiyan, Vice Minister of the International Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC), to review the state of Pakistan–China relations and exchange views on regional developments and issues of mutual interest.

Both delegations underscored the importance of maintaining the momentum of high-level exchanges, expanding inter-party collaboration, and further enhancing cooperation across political, economic, and diplomatic domains.
The meeting also highlighted the need to broaden cultural and people-to-people exchanges, with a particular focus on academic cooperation, youth engagement, and cultural initiatives aimed at fostering deeper mutual understanding between the two nations.
Pakistan and China reaffirmed their shared resolve to continue working closely in support of regional stability, development, and mutually beneficial cooperation.
