Pakistan, Bangladesh reaffirm commitment to deepening bilateral ties in high-level call

ABU DHABI, Saturday, January 24, 2026 (WNP): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, on Saturday held a telephone conversation with Bangladesh’s Foreign Adviser, Md. Touhid Hossain, during which the two leaders reviewed the state of Pakistan–Bangladesh relations and explored avenues for enhanced cooperation.

The discussion focused on strengthening bilateral ties, with particular emphasis on trade and economic collaboration, as well as expanding cooperation across multiple sectors of mutual interest.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to building a forward-looking partnership based on shared priorities and mutual benefit.

The two leaders also exchanged views on key regional and international developments, underscoring the importance of sustained dialogue and close engagement to address common challenges. They agreed that continued coordination would contribute to advancing shared interests and promoting peace, stability, and prosperity in the region.
