Omani bikers receive traditional welcome in Sargodha, celebrate Pakistan’s cultural heritage

SARGODHA, Saturday, June 21, 2025 (WNP): A delegation from Oman’s Busher Biker Club was accorded a warm and traditional welcome on Saturday during their visit to Sultan Farm House in Chak No. 5 SB, Tehsil Bhalwal, Sargodha, as part of their goodwill journey to Pakistan.

The visit featured a vibrant cultural showcase including horse riding, tent pegging, and a traditional horse dance — offering the Omani visitors a firsthand experience of the region’s rich heritage and rural charm.

The event was organized under the supervision of Kashif Iqbal Gujjar, with the active participation of Usman Hashmi, a prominent overseas Pakistani based in Oman, along with other distinguished local guests and dignitaries.

Expressing their appreciation, members of the Busher Biker Club praised the warm hospitality, scenic agricultural landscapes, and the cultural richness of the Sargodha district. They lauded Pakistan’s efforts to promote tourism and preserve traditional values, calling the experience unforgettable.

Speaking to the media, Mohammed Al-Nabhani, a member of the Omani delegation, highlighted the deep-rooted ties between Oman and Pakistan. He emphasized that such cultural visits enhance people-to-people connections and strengthen bilateral understanding, adding, “This visit is a reflection of our friendship and shared cultural values.”

He also commended the Pakistani government’s tourism initiatives and encouraged more Omani citizens and global tourists to explore Pakistan’s natural beauty, vibrant culture, and hospitality.

Usman Hashmi noted that the visit would play a pivotal role in fostering long-term cultural and diplomatic relations between the two countries. “This journey symbolizes a bridge between the people of Oman and Pakistan. It is a significant step toward promoting regional harmony and tourism,” he said.

The Busher Biker Club delegation includes Issa Al-Hasani, Mohammed Al-Nabhani, Kamil Al-Wahbi, Majid Al-Rawahi, Mohammed Al-Minini, Majid Al-Wahabi, and Mohammed Al-Rawahi.

This goodwill journey is part of a visionary initiative spearheaded by Atif Ali, a Pakistani national residing in Oman, under the patronage of the Embassy of Pakistan in Oman. The aim is to foster cultural diplomacy, friendship, and regional cooperation through overland travel, deepening the fraternal bond between the two brotherly nations.
