ISLAMABAD, Thursday, February19, 2026 (WNP): Ambassador of Iran to Pakistan, Reza Amiri Moghadam, has extended warm greetings to the Muslim world, particularly the government and people of Pakistan, on the arrival of the Holy Month of Ramadan.

In a message issued on Thursday, the ambassador began by reciting a verse from Surah Al-Baqarah (2:183), which underscores fasting as a means of attaining piety and spiritual discipline.

He described Ramadan as a sacred and divine opportunity for spiritual reflection, self-purification, compassion and solidarity, noting that the holy month reinforces the core Islamic values of patience, generosity and devotion to Almighty Allah.

“Ramadan reminds us that as members of the Muslim Ummah, we are united by our belief in One Unique God, our Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him), our Holy Book, and our Qibla,” Ambassador Moghadam stated. “These sacred pillars bind us together like an unbreakable thread of faith and brotherhood.”

He emphasized that the observance of Ramadan serves as a powerful manifestation of unity across the Muslim world, transcending geographical and cultural boundaries.

On the blessed occasion, the ambassador prayed for the honor, dignity and integrity of the Muslim Ummah, and for lasting peace, prosperity and stability for the brotherly nation of Pakistan.

Concluding his message, he expressed hope that Almighty Allah would accept the prayers and fasting of believers and bestow His mercy and blessings upon them.

Ramadan, observed by Muslims worldwide through fasting, prayer and charitable acts, is regarded as a month of spiritual renewal and communal harmony.
