ISLAMABAD, Wednesday, October 29, 2025 (WNP): A high-level delegation led by Dr. Anisuzzaman Chowdhury, Special Assistant for Financial Affairs to the Chief Adviser of Bangladesh, on Wednesday visited the Faisal Mosque in Islamabad, accompanied by Md. Iqbal Hussain Khan, High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Pakistan.
The delegation was warmly received by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ilyas, Director General of Da’wah Academy, International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI). During the visit, the guests were given a comprehensive briefing on the architectural grandeur, historical importance, and spiritual symbolism of Faisal Mosque, as well as the educational and da’wah initiatives being carried out by Da’wah Academy and IIUI.

The Bangladeshi delegation commended Pakistan’s efforts in promoting education and religious enlightenment and expressed a strong desire to enhance bilateral collaboration in the fields of academic exchange, cultural understanding, and da’wah-related activities.
Dr. Anisuzzaman praised the role of Faisal Mosque, Da’wah Academy, and IIUI as “beacons of intellectual and religious guidance for the Muslim Ummah,” emphasizing the importance of strengthening academic, cultural, and spiritual ties between Pakistan and Bangladesh.

Later, the delegation members offered Zuhr prayers led by Dr. Muhammad Ilyas, while students from the Department of Hifz recited verses from the Holy Qur’an. Special prayers were also offered for the unity of the Muslim world and the deepening of fraternal relations between the two nations.
At the conclusion of the visit, the Director General of Da’wah Academy presented commemorative shields and copies of the Holy Qur’an to the guests. The delegation expressed heartfelt gratitude for the warm hospitality and lauded the Da’wah Academy and IIUI for their outstanding contributions to Islamic scholarship and interfaith understanding.
