He said Saudi Arabia, since its foundation, had been honored by Allah with the privilege of serving the Two Holy Mosques and caring for pilgrims, making the service of Islam’s holiest sites and their visitors a fundamental responsibility and an essential pillar of the Kingdom’s identity and leadership role.

Al-Bassami said the Kingdom’s continuous efforts in serving pilgrims reflected the unwavering support and close supervision of the leadership, which had made the care of the Two Holy Mosques the core of its mission and a source of national pride.

He praised the dedication of security personnel participating in Hajj operations, saying they took pride in safeguarding the holy sites and ensuring the safety and smooth movement of pilgrims through disciplined crowd management, organized movement plans and professional field operations.

“The Saudi security man has devoted his life and efforts to serving the guests of Al Rehman, standing as a strong shield to protect lives and preserve safety and tranquility,” he said.

Al-Bassami stated that the success achieved so far in Hajj security plans reflected the integration of responsibilities and the unity of efforts under the directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud and the unlimited support of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

He also acknowledged the supervision and follow-up of Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Supreme Hajj Committee, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, in implementing comprehensive security strategies strengthened by advanced operational and technological capabilities.

The Public Security chief said the security system had witnessed significant modernization through the use of smart monitoring systems and real-time intelligent data analysis supported by advanced operations centers, which enhanced rapid decision-making, improved response efficiency and enabled proactive handling of various field developments.

He further highlighted the role of the Emir of Makkah Region and Chairman of the Permanent Hajj and Umrah Committee in the region, Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, along with his deputy, as well as the support of the Emir of Madinah Region and related authorities, in improving security and service indicators and enhancing compliance with Hajj regulations and instructions.

According to Al-Bassami, these measures contributed to raising the quality of security and services provided to pilgrims and demonstrated the effectiveness of preventive and proactive procedures aimed at protecting the safety and security of the guests of Allah.

Concluding his remarks, Al-Bassami prayed for the acceptance of the pilgrims’ Hajj and for their safe return home after completing their rituals in an atmosphere of faith, spirituality, generous hospitality and high-quality services provided by the Kingdom.
