ISLAMABAD, Monday, January 19, 2026 (WNP): Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar on Monday said that Chairman Senate and former prime minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani had appreciated the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting for its effective role in the successful organization and media outreach of the Inter-Parliamentary Speakers’ Conference.

According to the minister, he met Chairman Senate Gilani following an invitation, during which Gilani commended the ministry’s contribution to ensuring comprehensive media coverage of the high-profile parliamentary event. He also praised the ministry’s strategic use of digital and social media platforms to project the conference’s proceedings, objectives and outcomes to a wider national and international audience.

Attaullah Tarar said the appreciation reflected the government’s commitment to transparent communication and proactive public engagement, particularly in highlighting parliamentary diplomacy and Pakistan’s role in fostering inter-parliamentary dialogue.

The minister reaffirmed that the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting would continue to support national institutions by providing professional, timely and credible media facilitation, aimed at strengthening democratic processes and enhancing Pakistan’s image at home and abroad.
