FM Dar, Uzbek counterpart reaffirm commitment to deepening political, economic, cultural ties

ISLAMABAD, Monday, January 12, 2026 (WNP): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Monday held a telephone conversation with Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov, during which both sides reaffirmed the depth and positive trajectory of Pakistan–Uzbekistan bilateral relations.

According to an official account, the two foreign ministers emphasized the need to sustain momentum in political dialogue, economic cooperation, and cultural exchanges, highlighting the importance of continued high-level leadership interactions in advancing shared objectives.

The ministers agreed to remain in close contact to ensure effective follow-up on ongoing initiatives and to identify new avenues for mutually beneficial collaboration, reflecting the growing strategic convergence between Islamabad and Tashkent.

The exchange underscored the commitment of both countries to further strengthen bilateral ties through regular engagement and practical cooperation across multiple sectors.
