ANTALYA, Friday, April 17, 2026 (WNP): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday held a meeting with Senior Adviser to the US President for Arab and African Affairs Massad Boulos on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum in Antalya.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister conveyed his warm regards to Donald Trump and recalled his cordial interactions with him. He expressed appreciation for President Trump’s leadership, particularly in facilitating the ceasefire between Pakistan and India last year when tensions had escalated.

The Prime Minister also commended President Trump’s role in the successful ceasefire efforts in Lebanon.

Both sides discussed current regional developments, including Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts that contributed to de-escalation and the outcome of the Islamabad Talks. The Prime Minister underscored the importance of further strengthening Pakistan–US relations, with a focus on economic and trade cooperation, as well as collaboration in multilateral forums.

Mr. Boulos conveyed greetings from President Trump and appreciated Pakistan’s constructive role in promoting regional stability. He reaffirmed the United States interest in expanding engagement with Pakistan on shared priorities, including counterterrorism, economic development, and addressing global challenges.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Minister for Information Attaullah Tarar, and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Fatemi were also present during the meeting.
