Ishaq Dar performs Umrah after OIC meeting, prays for Pakistan, unity of Muslim Ummah

MAKKAH, Sunday, January 11, 2026 (WNP): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Sunday performed Umrah in Makkah Mukarramah following his participation in the Extraordinary Meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) held in Jeddah.

According to official sources, Senator Dar offered special prayers at the Holy Kaaba for the peace, stability and prosperity of Pakistan, as well as for the welfare of the Pakistani people.

He also prayed for the unity, wellbeing and collective progress of the Muslim Ummah, seeking harmony and strength in addressing the challenges facing the Islamic world.

The visit to Makkah came at the conclusion of Senator Dar’s engagements in Saudi Arabia, where he represented Pakistan at the high-level OIC meeting that focused on pressing regional and international issues of concern to Muslim countries.

Officials said the performance of Umrah underscored Pakistan’s enduring spiritual ties with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and reflected the country’s commitment to promoting unity, peace and cooperation within the Ummah, alongside its active diplomatic engagement at multilateral forums.
