Pakistan, Saudi Arabia reaffirm commitment to deeper bilateral cooperation

ISLAMABAD, Wednesday, December 31, 2025 (WNP): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Wednesday received a telephone call from Prince Fahd bin Sultan bin Abdul Aziz, Governor of Saudi Arabia’s Tabuk Province, during which the two leaders reaffirmed their desire to expand cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

According to official sources, the conversation reflected the warmth and cordiality that characterize Pakistan–Saudi Arabia relations. Prince Fahd conveyed season’s greetings and best wishes for the New Year, which were warmly reciprocated by

Senator Ishaq Dar. Recalling their positive engagements in the past, the Saudi governor extended an invitation to the deputy prime minister to visit Tabuk, underscoring his personal commitment to further strengthening bilateral ties.

Senator Ishaq Dar expressed appreciation for Prince Fahd’s continued interest in promoting and deepening relations between Pakistan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, particularly at the provincial and people-to-people levels.

Meanwhile, earlier on Tuesday, the deputy prime minister and foreign minister held a separate telephone conversation with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud to exchange New Year greetings. During the call, the two leaders discussed the current regional situation and recent developments, according to a news release issued by the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister.

Senator Dar expressed satisfaction over the positive trajectory of Pakistan–Saudi Arabia relations, while Prince Faisal reaffirmed the Kingdom’s commitment to further strengthening and enhancing bilateral cooperation across a wide range of sectors.

The exchanges reflect the continued momentum in high-level contacts between Islamabad and Riyadh, highlighting their shared resolve to deepen strategic, diplomatic, and economic partnership in the year ahead.
